Routine Care

We at Restore Smiles believe that a great smile starts with healthy teeth and gums! We encourage all new patients to have a complete mouth examination in their first visit and regular active maintenance to reduce the need for major dental work. It will help us diagnose and treat minor problems before they become major ones!

During your appointment, we will provide you with a complete overview of the current state of your oral health. A full scale and polish of your teeth and gum will also be performed. You will be provided with all necessary information and treatment options if further treatment is required. You can make an informed decision regarding any treatment you may choose.

Digital X-ray

As part of the cleaning and prevention plan, we take digital X-rays. Digital radiography reduces radiation exposure significantly, is comfortable, and is faster. Additionally, we have the latest Panoramic X-ray equipment, which offers a view that would otherwise be invisible to the naked eye exposing hidden structures, such as wisdom teeth, revealing preliminary signs of cavities. It shows fractures and bone loss. Panoramic X-rays are extraoral and simple to perform, giving an instant view to detect and diagnose any abnormalities and problems at the early stages.

Benefits of Root Canals

Root canal therapy can save a tooth that has become infected or decayed. If the treatment is required, we make it as relaxing as possible.

Signs you may need a Root Canal Treatment:

  • Toothache that worsens when biting or when eating
  • Spontaneous & achy pain even when you’re not eating or drinking
  • Pain that wakes you up in the middle of the night
  • Recurring swelling
  • Extreme sensitivity to cold or heat that lingers for more than 5 seconds
  • Darkening or discoloration of a tooth
  • Tenderness in the gums
Ignoring these signs or symptoms leads to further complications spreading infection. If you are unsure about any of the symptoms schedule an appointment for a consultation and evaluation. Dr. Bellam and team will do the treatment in one visit in most cases.
